From Executive Producer Dick Wolf, Law & Order LA took the police drama from the streets of New York City to the sunny backdrop of California, following the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division where Detectives Ricardo Morales, a former deputy district attorney, and Tomas "TJ" Jaruszalski, the offspring of a Hollywood legend, solved crimes within the City of Angels alongside Det. Rex Winters.

Lt. Arleen Gonzales guided the team, lending her impeccable work ethic to each and every case, while DDA Jonah "Joe" Dekker fought hard within the court system as the division's own crusader. Working alongside Dekker was the ex-New Yorker DDA Connie Rubirosa, as well as DDA Evelyn Price, DDA Lauren Stanton, and DA Jerry Hardin.
